Last week I made the Women’s Go To Jacket from Patterns For Pirates out of my beloved Harajuku Lovers fabric.
I mention the hoodie because it matches my new lounge pants! I am 100% covered in “Bubble Pop Electric” by Gwen Stefani. (song below)
The song is actually really fun, check it out above. It features Andre 3000.
I love this print and French Terry fabric so much. I can’t believe I scored it from The Fabric Fairy (Side note: I highly recommend them!). Gwen Stefani designs a clothing and accessories line called Harajuku Lovers. The fabric I bought must have been end of bolts or leftovers (ironically, a No Doubt song!) and I’m beyond excited. I legit spent a weeks worth of pay on SO many yards.
The bubblegum pink fabric is from The Purple Seamstress, I also highly recommend her. She has so many great cotton lycra solid prints in all the colors you could ever need. She has double brushed poly that’s amazing too.
Onto the pattern. This is actually a self-drafted pattern that I made myself. I have posted about this pattern before. I copied a pair of pants that I loved, the Victoria Secret Boyfriend Pant. I checked and they are no longer on the website. I still wear my VS pants but they’ve strunk a ton and look like something from Goodwill. I drafted a pattern based on them but changed up the waistband and the pockets. The pockets are from the Hudson Pants from True Bias. I actually wear the Chic pair I made before ALL OF THE TIME. They are so worn out! I probably should fix that hole in the butt… one day.
I plan on making more of these since I basically live in them. They are beyond comfortable and flattering. Does anyone know how to make a pdf sewing pattern and GRADE? I need help with the grading mostly. I can hand drawn a version of this size and put them up maybe. They are amazing.
