Vintage Made Magazine – Tie Blouse

Vintage Made Magazine – Tie Blouse

This week I have something a little different – a magazine pattern! This is the Tie Blouse from Vintage Made magazine. The pattern is designed from Ann over at Designer Stitch* so you know the quality is great. You can currently order the magazine here. (June 2018 issue #11) It also looks like you can order back issues, so no worries if you are reading this later.

The pattern comes in sizes 6-26 and is great for everyday, vintage or work clothing. There are detailed instructions and photos of the testers in the magazine.

The shirt itself is an easy sew for being a button-up shirt. I would say the only confusing part is the collar and I only say that because I always think inserting a collar can be confusing. Just go slow and read the directions.

My measurements were 36-31-40 at the time of making it, I made a size 3 in the bust and graded both the waist and hips to a 4. I think the fit is perfect. It has just enough room to be comfortable but is still fitted nicely.

One again I’ve used this AMAZING floral print stretch sateen from Minerva Crafts. If you remember I used this fabric for my Etta Dress and Pencil Skirt. I legit cannot get enough of this fabric, it’s probably the most perfect fabric on Earth. Go order it now!!! I don’t even get paid for you buying it, I just believe in it that much!

Overall great pattern. I did get it free for testing, just FYI. I didn’t have to blog about it or anything, I just really liked it and wanted to. Order the magazine and check out all the other fun stuff!
